Estonians endemical diseases

So this entry is for those who are interested in endemical diseases:P First fiew words about the backround. The author is one very famous science guy, baltic german Karl Ernst von Baer who mainly lived in Estonia. I have to read this book for Estonian literature course.

I still haven't found out what the endemical diseases are, but as Thor said I think it's a general term for diseases, because in this book the guy writes almost about very various diseases. But what's the most important, is the baltic german's view on estonians on 19th century. As maybe some know, estonians were slaves of baltic germans and many other nations during the centuries. Baltic german's attitude towards estonians was not very hmm... let's say positive.

Fiew examples from the book:
- they are all slaves of germans, poor and they suck at many things (the translation maybe isn't very direct, but that's basically what it says)
- they live in very poor and dirty houses, they live all together in one pretty small room with the whole family and animals as well (pigs, chickens, coats etc) -> that actually is true...
- the style of estonians was lame
- Estonians like food, they like it too much. Already from early childhood parents give so much food to children that their belly grows big and fat. While eating, estonians forget everything and it is not possible to eat slower than estonians (all is true about eating. i damn like food)
- estonians face is pale, the character flegmatic and melancholic. there are basically only flegmatics and melancholics in Estonia. I haven't decided who I am yet..
- mouvments are slow (this is what all latvians like to call us - slow. they have loots of jokes about that)
- about women he says: I haven't seen any, who could consider herself as beautiful

So as you can see, baltic germans didn't certainly have very positive opinion of estonians.....
